The best way to assasinate unwanted NPC's!

Havin' problems with the hicks? Want to win Kingkipn's fistfight easy? The
stupid General in Alma givin' ya a hard time... The answer to all these
promblem is simple: Al non-friendly non-recrutible NPC's that you want to
get rid off can be killed without retaliation if you shoot them aiming
behind them... Just plant your crosshair as close to the NPC's as possible
without actually aming on him and pull the trigger. With a little luck you
should hit and kill him in only 4-7 shoots! Keep in mind though, you should
stand pretty far away from the victum to ensure a "miss" (hit). I killed all
the hicks and Kingpin's entire army using this "tactic". Imagine, no
retaliation, just pick away!!! You can also apply this tactic on Kingpins
fistfighters to "soften them up" a bit ;) The only cons I can see with this
tactic is that it may take time, cost you alot of bullets and lowers your
hit percentage. So use a merc like Ira and use some crappier weapons that
you can dispence the bullets for... Also, it seems harder to hit the NPC's
with a high marksmanship merc since your aming at the ground and counting on
him missing... Have fun!

When you meet mickey the bloodcat dealer then don't bother with the bloodcat parts, kill him and get $10000 and a G41. To train explosives rocket fast get a land mine. Give it to Grizzly, for example, and get him to set it. Get Barry (or whovever your expl. guy is) pick it up. Repeat over and over. Grizzly got to 91 expl. in 15 minutes!
To kill Kingpin with out getting the town after you throw a mustard gas grenade in to his room and shut the door. Wait a few minutes and open it. He will be dead on the ground and you can take his stuff.

There can be a lot of trouble to hunt wanted ones, as they are often well armed and fast. During one of my bounty rides I introduced a simple tactic called "shoot and miss to kill." All NPCs (mercs as well) in the game does not react if you shoot in their direction WITHOUT aiming on them (this works best with auto weapons with burst mode on, shotguns and if shooting buddy has bad Marksmanship =-] ). Even when badly wounded, they still think that it must have been an accident and run away. Just follow the bloody trace, finish them and get your money.

I haven't finished the game yet. By other people's standards I'm moving at a snail's pace. Not that I don't know how to play JA2 but rather because I'm in no hurry to end the slaughter, plus i get off on blowing heads off :-}. I have noticed that some people consider training a waste of time but it's not here's why. First get mercs with HIGH wisdom, they learn the fastest or a merc with little or no skills at all. Also if your merc's ability is over 80 it takes em forever to gain a point so don't practice that skill. Have atleast 1 great mechanic, doctor and marksman. You'll need all 3. if possible train a merc in agility from day one. Leave that merc to train while you play (2 weeks). Now the high agility (70 and up) merc can be used as your scout throughout the rest of the game. don' worry about the merc's marksmanship level that will rise on it's own. High agility allows you to sneak up on the enemy without them hearing. Once you spot the enemy you can walk right in !

Since I spot the enemy first they don't interrupt so I can sneak in the other mercs to take out the enemy or have my scout stab em up a few dozen times. best to kill with no noise. Also when picking locks if you fail on the first try keep trying eventually your merc will pick the lock. As for items on tables position the cursor till you see a red "X" then wait a few seconds for the hand cursor, might have to try different positions with the "X". I have been using Ira as my main scout and her agility is up to 92 now plus her marksmanship has grown to 80 due to the fact that she kills mostly at point blank range.

Well...here's a way to get the fight going your way. Make sure you have three marbles (one for each fight) then step into the east corner of the ring right next to the betting buy. Then quickly drop one of the mables directly SW of you by the ropes where your opponent will charge at you. That looser in gonna fall flat on his face and you only need to do is sucker punch him a couple of times and Ladie's and Gentlemen the winner is.....YOU!!

Shoot through wood

You can not only shoot through wooden doors, you can also shoot
through most wooden walls, pretty handy if you set up a scout to search for
the enemies while your snipers splatter the poor bastards all over the place.
On a side note, NEVER play on novice, you don't get any weapons. I«ve
played both and I had much bigger difficulty developing a stable game on
novice.

Convert ammo mags.

You can easily convert ammo mags from different sides by putting them into
and taking them out from a gun. For example you might have an abundance 9mm
pistol mags (15 rounds each) and a MP5K... simply fill the gun up with the
pistol mags, take the mag out, voila! A SMG mag... This is of course
possible the other way around. Pretty nice taking into account that
it takes 10 AP in contrary of 5 to load a gun with an inappropriate mag.

Getting rid of tanks without wasting Laws.

This is a kamikaze style way to get rid of those nasty tanks without wasting
one of your valuable LAWs or mortar shells.
Fire a smoke grenade directly in front of the tank using your M79 or Talon
underslung grenade launcher. Wait a few seconds until the smoke hides a
large area. Then let your explosives specialist run up to the tank. When he
is directly in front of the tank he will get an interrupt. Now let him just
deposit some explosives as near as possible to the tank. Two times TNT
should be enough (one with a detonator attached and another one just
dropped). Be sure to have enough APs left to disappear in the smoke again!
When your merc is out of sight (in the smoke) real time mode will be
switched on again. Now run as fast as possible out of the tank´s range and
watch it blowing up. That´s it.

In the sector where you find Angel in San Mona, there is a woman named Annie. She serves no apparent purpose does she? No. She is the Matron Of Mayhem (MOM), one of the Terrorists that Carmen wants you to kill. She dropped (in my game, i think it is RANDOM) H&K G3A3, 2tear gas, 2mustard gas, 1 NATO 7.62mm clip, $300 cash. You have great advantages against the teroists-you outnumber them, you can set up your mercs before you kill them etc.

Exploits with items

For example you can just with 1 spring and few rods make few
rods*spring...
If you have rods in one inv place, and attach spring to only one of
them, then also all other rods are with springs...
IMHO that should work also on barrel extenders and other items where you
combine and have some of them stacked.

Use the roofs.

This is no real tactic, more of a reminder of existance of roofs
in the demo, roof could be used well for snipers... not just the enemy snipers btw
i placed (in laying position) shadow on the roof, and he just picked off most of the enemies... though without a sniper weapon it wasn't as effective as it could have been
the fact is though, he could see further, and he had a very good protection as no one could hit him... or when they could, it made very little damage.

How to drag out a Bad Guy from a building.

If you want to drag out Bad Guy from building, then: 1) send one merc with good reaction( Shadow, Stephan, Ivan etc.) to closest door.
2)Send other merc(any) on the roof of this building (merc must be in stealth mode), then turn OFF stealth mode and take some maraphone on the roof. Enemy will run out closest door and will be spotted by 1st merc.
NOTE: It will not work, if enemy is guarding some important thing ( Rocket rifle in Alma etc.).

How to Use the Talon Grenade Launcher

This is easy all you have to do is get a Talon Grenade Launcher, put a 40MM Grenade in it and attach it to a gun.
Then press the button that determines whether it burst or single shot 3 times and youll see the Talon icon. Now just Point and shoot.Hope this can Help.

There may be more than one way to skin a cat, but there's only one way to cut off a dead guy's head: with a blade. To send some heads rolling in the demo, grab a handy knife or machete (I don't think a throwing knife will work), wield it, and try to attack the torso of a dead body. If it doesn't start a quick series of three stabs, you're clicking on the wrong part of that graphic. Try again on a different part of the body. Why cut off a head? Well, in the game it will probably be a way to prove a kill, even though in the demo it describes a head as decaying, no matter how soon after death you decapitate it. :)
